Lennart Jöhnk and Aquascaping
Lennart Jöhnk has a real feeling for aquascaping. He is relatively new to the hobby, but his first work is already a real headturner.
The Aqua Rebell team was especially interested in how Lennart found the hobby of aquascaping and aquaristics in general.
"When I was still quite young my sister gave me a 40-litre tank. It was infested by algae after only a few weeks, and the guppies reproduced in very large numbers, and I finally gave this tank up.
I made the acquaintance of my present-day girlfriend in 2009. She had a standard 60 litre fish tank in her home - and I wanted a tank myself, too. I had never before heard of "aquascaping". Soon, I had a Juwel Vision 260 in my small apartment. And this tank brought me into contact with the www.flowgrow.de community.
Soon I knew I wanted an aquascape, and I decorated my girlfriend's tank with some Seiryu stones, Hemianthus callitrichoides "Cuba" and Rotala sp. "Green". When I moved out of my apartment after half a year, the layouts of both tanks were disassembled. As I had had enough of the "Vision", I got an ADA-style cabinet, which a friend made for me. I wanted the new tank to be a real aquascape. Inspired by "Towering Peaks" (by Dave Chow) I started hunting for hardscape materials, and set up the tank after a long search.
After many setbacks in the form of algae and lots of support by members of the Flowgrow community I finally conceived a very nice layout (at least by my standards), with the title of "Tales Creek"."
The Aqua Rebell team asked Lennart how he got to know about the fertilizers by Aqua Rebell.
"I became aware of the Aqua Rebell fertilizer line at Flowgrow, many of the members there use and recommend them."
We were of course also interested in learning if Lennart keeps using Aqua Rebell fertilizers.
Sure, they are easy to handle - which is of course also a question of habit. You get precise answers at www.flowgrow.de regarding their characteristics and composition. Moreover, I'd like to support this fertilizer line because I simply like it!
Tales Creek
The hardscape of this layout (100×40×40 cm) is really imposing. Seiryu stones were put together to form two mountain tops that stand out from the dense plant growth. The minimalistic plant choice limited to Staurogyne repens and Hemianthus callitrichoides "Cuba" gives this tank an incredible sense of harmony. Mind you, this aquascape is Lennart's first work ? an incredible accomplishment.
